The UK is bracing itself to hear about public spending cuts worth tens of billions of pounds. The coalition government will reveal the comprehensive spending review on Wednesday. It aims to dramatically cut the budget deficit and put the country on the road to financial recovery. But some economists says the worst is yet to come.

As an investor, you know that any kind of investment opportunity has its risks, and investing in Stocks or Precious Metals is highly speculative. All of the content I post is for informational purposes only.

So in summary we have some people saying things will get worse whilst others are saying things will get better. Business as usual then. I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Somehow I don't think that Russia Today will be my primary source of good economic opinion.0

Collapse 2 looms as UK calm before storm...
I would like to know when "collapse 1" happened.
I see people spending like mad, prices going up,new cars costing more yet still being bought, the pubs are packed.
Supermarket trolleys are loaded to the hilt, giant tv sets are the order of the day.
Houses are still being bought, holidays booked.
Borrowing still being done on credit cars, bank loans etc.
Idiot officials advising savers to spend, spend, spend.
Banker`s still getting fat bonuses for doing next to nothing.
If that was "collapse 1" then "collapse 2" should really put the country back on it`s feet!0

As the original doomonger here, I stand by what I've said for last 20 months or so, Labour propped up the economy with various schemes and massive borrowing. I also said that it was likely to be much worse when the fakery stopped, mainly due to the fact that they achieved nothing except put off the inevitable.Have owned outright since Sept 2009, however I'm of the firm belief that high prices are a cancer on society, they have sucked money out of the economy, handing it to banks who've squandered it.0

Let me guess. Is the best way through it to buy gold and baked beans?Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.

 Russia Today Video
For the love of God, Asheron, have some intellectual pride would you?
Don't you see how open you lay yourself to ridicule by citing Russia Today as a source of useful and insightful economic commentary?
 What next? The Pyongyang Post?0

And yet, it hasn't got worse, has it?0

Don't be put off by Russia Today - haven't clicked on the vid, but guessing it's Max Keiser. Hovering on box of frogs, but a few nuggets (lol) and infinitely better e-con stuff than the mainstream ('read the press release') channels. He's on a few times a week midnight to half-past.0

 2 things,
You missed the letter L out of the 5th word.
Intellectual pride is not something associated with teenagers studying for Foundation GCSE's.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0
