Selfridges grotto tickets

I took my daughter to this last year when it was only £2 a person. The train ride and the whole set up was good, but the actual Father Christmas was nowhere as good as at Harrods. He was far too skinny and his beard looked very fake! DD was only 3 though so she didn't really notice! We purchased a snowglobe with a picture of her with Santa in for around £10.
I won't be going this year as I managed to get Harrods tickets instead.0 -
I was just going to ask how good this is. I nanny for a 3 year old so was thinking of bringing her but £10 for the two of us is a lot of money for 'just' a train ride. Does it include a present or anything like that?£9500/£10000 baby fund saved so far0

It has gone up quite a lot, however the money goes towards a great charity!
Last year my boys received 2 lovely books each. We have been 2 years running and have loved it both times, we have always had a great Santa and my Son's ( age 2 and 4) absolutely love it, so i am delighted to have got tickets again for this year!
If you are going, don't forget to write a letter for Santa and post it whilst there, and you get a lovely letter back from him ( we didn't know the first year and i had to quickly scribble 2 letters on the back of scraps of paper from my handbag, but the boys still got a letter back!) x0 -
THankyou - i tried to get Harrods tickets but couldnt so this is fab - its mainly for my 5 yr old but my girls who are older i think will humour him - we are going up to London on 12/12 and are doing madame tussards, hamleys, selfridges and seeing the christmas lights - think this will help to make the day memorable :-)Been stupid but have no regrets starting to slowly sort my finances now the kids are growing0

I think it was well worth it and the train ride makes it a bit more special than other Santa's Grottos. DD really believed she had travelled to the North Pole! The present given was a Paddington Bear Christmas book.0
