Vodafone Help Needed

HI All I am New to DFW

We are in the process of sorting out our debts and we have a question for you all.

We took out two mobile fone conracts with vodafone last July both for 18 months we had nothing but problems with them from he start and they said that the best option was this package and so on.

Any way we get the first bills as the acount is combined and its for £400

We expected the bill to be about £100 due to my wife giving birth and many phone calls.

We Rang VF to inform them that something must be wrong they looed in o it and confirmed that it was Correct.

We asked for time to pay and they gave us a week we explained that this was no good and we paid the £100 we could afford.

After a lot of head banging they cut us of and sent us a final bill for two fones 18 mth Conract which was for nearly £2000

Is this fair?

Can they charge you for something that they are not providing?

I understannd that we owe them for the two fones £350 each on PAYG in the VF store and the £400 Of calls

Do the same rules apply as with bank charges

I would appriciate all help as i have a mountain or questions and you are all fab at helping!!

Is the remainder for the months of your contract? Check the T & C from when you first joined.

Alot of network providers will charge you for the phones and the remaining months of your contract (For example if you have been with them for 1 month you pay for the other 17 as well)

Not sure on the legality but I would imagine if they have it in the T & C your hands could be tied. CAB should be able to advise you
  • Thanks GAL

The rest is for the remaining contract!

Ill try the CAB for more info

Even if they come up with some sort of offer that would help

If you register on the Vodafone website you can view an itemised bill.

When I joined Vodafone in the summer I paid an extra £10 to allow me to cancel the contract at anytime - did you do this at all and has it been overlooked?
    Saving for a deposit: £20,551 / £25,000 - 82% of the way there...
  • Thanks Jaymz

They didnt mention it when when took the contract out.
I will go on to the VF web tonight and check the balance

    Cheers

Write to their customer complaints team advising that you are trying to resolve this but that their customer care team is not being helpful.

£2000 does seem very high for cancellations for two contracts as they are terminating it not you.

If you know anyone who works for VF then they have a help a friend scheme where they can take the complaint internally to be reviewed.
