Options
I have a friend is is 'dragging on the bones of her !!!!!!' very skint, She really would like to work but the cost of childcare is more than she would earn, so she would like to work from home........she has seen some things but they want money upfront and she doesn't have it, I really want to help her but thought this one was one for all you people out there(30,00 brains are better than one kind of thing............................)

I just seen this in my toddler bounty pack. It does have a small outlay of £19 if she signs up in August.

I haven't any experience in the work but would be interested in other peoples opinion as I'm thinking of signing up

I worked for Usborne when my children were younger, there is an outlay in that you have to buy your own 'show books' and it was difficult making money as you had to rely on people booking parties to sell to their friends and I think that craze has long died.

However, at the time I was selling Usborne never discounted their books anywhere so I had a clear market, as soon as Usborne allowed discount shops and retailers to discount the business died.

Also party plan selling isn't always the better option when you have children. I either had to work evenings when I could guarantee my husband was home to mind them, or work during the day for the short time children were at playgroup or nursery school. You really can't turn up to do a party with young children in tow.

Good luck though with the search

If she has computer access, eBay has to be the easiest way. I don't make loads from it, but it's worht doing and she is bound to have thngs in the house she can sell, old/broken mobile telphones always go well, kids toys (named) are good as well, playmobil, barbie etc.

If she can sell off what she has around the house, then look for things in charity shops and boot sales that will sell.

Mystery shopping is also one that you can do with the kids, but there is outlay in that you buy the products do the report then get paid the following month.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.
