If you can get ANY channels from the supplied bee-sting aerial, you must be sitting under Crystal Palace transmitter.

  • Personally I wouldn't have anything to do with Savastore. Had lots of problems in the past with this company.

This seems like a good price but like most budget TV cards the software "appears" to be poor.

I would think it is best to get a device which has BDA drivers - which is another way of saying drivers which work with Windows Media Centre (MCE). This then gives you the option to use MCE (if you have it) or use other software than can run with cards that use BDA drivers such as GB-PVR or media portal (there are others as well)

The cheap USB device here at ebuyer has BDA drivers although no remote and others have reported getting it working with other software. According to one of the reviewers the device is actually a KWorld DVB-T 355U. I have one on order at present to see if is any better than my Compro T200 PCI card I already have.

In regards to reception - use your common sense - the aerial is basic. If you need a professional outside aerial to get freeview on your STB then this is unlikely to work for you on your PC. By all means give the small aerial a go before investigating getting an existing aerial signal to it. Failing that you could look at indoor aerials but these are often not very good. There is an indoor aerial suggested by this website

    Good luck
    Cheers,
