The people who offer the free theatre tickets do realise there are theatres north of London right?

Not if they can help it!

I've had a couple of things for Manchester and one theatre show although there may have been a few more I didn't fancy.

    Hi, :hello:
just received an email from SFF with an invite for free tickets for Leonard Cohen at MEN tomorrow. Seems to be random email accounts as DH and DD haven't had one, so check your emails :)

Anyone ever had any problems with collecting tickets after the time given on the ShowFilmFirst confirmation? I'm due to see Rod Stewart tonight and it says to collect the tickets between 5 and 6 pm. He doesn't come on until 8:20 so it's a bit of a faff.
  • Has anyone seen any free showfilmfirst first tickets to see rod Stewart tonight in Leeds?? Would really appreciate if anyone had a couple spare x
    Regards

    Sandy

I've always collected early in case they have fewer tickets than SFF issue - similar to cinema tickets.

Small price to pay I would suggest as tickets are over £68 each!

If you receive concert tickets through SFF do check the venue and date details independently from what SFF include on the ticket.

Yesterday quoia kindly posted a number of codes including one for a Bach concert tonight. I thought myself fortunate to obtain two tickets. However, I've returned home after a wasted journey into central London because the venue told us that the event had been yesterday and that SSF had emailed ticket holders to tell them of the mix-up. Of course no alerting email had been received.

I hadn't double checked before setting off. I shall do so in future as on a previous occasion SSF sent us to the Wigmore Hall when the concert was at the South Bank (the correct venue only discovered after returning home from the Wigmore Hall and, of course, there would not have been time to travel from one venue to the other in any event).

I'm sorry that it all went wrong and you didn't get to see what I posted about. :(

I actually noticed that there was a "small error" in the description on the SFF "698690" page

It referred to MIKI SKUTA ...

... continuing with the "Bach’s A Maj harpsichord concerto no.4 BWV 1055 with Mahan Esfahani plus cantata BWV 150 (and another work TBC) by New College Choir directed by Edward Higginbottom"

I Googled MIKI SKUTA (not knowing who they were) and because of what I found then actually went to he KINGS PLACE website.

The calendar of events did show Miki Skuta was on last night (Thursday) but EVERYTHING ELSE from the SFF listing (what was being played by who) applied to Friday's concert which was as per the date from SFF so thought no more about it.

I half presumed there had ALSO been SFF tickets for Thursday's on another code that had not come to light and didn't get posted on MSE. (and the Thursday page had been the template for Friday's)

Shame really that they couldn't let you in for tonight's concert - I doubt it was totally sold out.
