We have a house in dublin which is up to its you know what in negative equity ( 200000 euro ) We have moved to Newry where wife is from and want to buy a new house due to kids. We are renting at the moment. The house in Dublin is rented and I back it with 600 euro a month. My wifes salary is untouhed as a result. Would a bank laugh at us if we tried to get a mortgage in NI. We have £55000 in savings and would be looking for £210000

Hi there, before you do anything please have a look at the following two websites. Both predicted the crash and current climate, many on the pin in particular are extremely well informed.
Good luck.
