well my nikon 220 arrived and the pics are pants :( gonna take it to the store and see what they say. maybe i need to set it better

When we first got one of these and used the standard settings the pictures were poor. We were actually getting sharper photos on an older 5mgpx Nikon. What we did was look at how the older camera was set up and changed the setting on the Nikon 220 to match. Now we get much better quality photos. I'd guess that the settings 'straight out of the box' aren't very suitable for average conditions. It's worth spending a bit of time experimenting though.

i had it set to auto, i just want to point and shoot tbh. I took it to the store and they agreed that the focus was not really working as they would have expected. they have sent it away to be repaired, the look of shock on their face when they saw the price was fantastic.

anyways i hope it comes back all fixed! i am so grateful to the OP and thanks to you for the advice

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN ORDERING FROM THIS SITE.
I have just received a camera that I ordered from them costing nearly £100 - when it arrived it had no battery and no battery charger pack - i've just rung them and they will not send these items out to me despite it clearly stating on the product description that these were included and to buy them new is going to cost me nearly £90!!! Am waiting to speak to a manager!
