Who does the OR notify?

Hey all
Our BR date in court is looming >wibble< and we're just finalising our forms and the like.
It asks for our landlords name and address. Will they tell them? If they do we'd like to do it first. We're paid up till Feb 2011 and have no arrears with them.
Will they need to notify our work? Neither of us have BR clauses in our contracts but we do both work for small companies and are a bit worried about tax code changes etc....
Last question - My wage can change from month to month. I'm on a zero hours contract (swimming instructor) but do approx 10 hours per week (currently, though this is going up to 14hrs in Nov) do I work out an average over 3 months to put as my monthly salary on my SOA?
TIA for any help:)

Hi Pops
My OR didn`t contact my landlord but wanted sight of my rent book to confirm it was up to date at BR date....so when you speak to the OR straight after your court date get a statement / letter confirming when it is paid up to & the OR may not need to contact them.
BR is a personal financial matter....the OR cannot disclose that fact to a 3rd party that is not involved...ie your work. Although they will impose a nill tax code but that comes from HMRC & can be for any number of reasons....not just BR.
On average weekly wage....take your last 3 months & work an average....you can`t calculate ahead as you haven`t been paid yet.
Hope that helps.

Thank you SSA, that's very helpful.
I've got receipts and letters confirming we paid the rent 6 months in advance so will be able to show the OR those.0 -
Our OR did inform the LL, we were up to date and had never been in arrears, fortunately I had already informed them and they were fine about it.:pB&SC No. 298

It is very unusual for a landlord to chuck a tenant out purely because of a bankruptcy. Most landlords are just happy to have a regularly paying tenant at the momentHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

You could always speak to the OR and ask if he intends to notify your landlord, and then explain your circumstances and why you feel the landlord might not take it well. Most OR's are pretty understanding people who do have sympathy for the situation you are in.====0

i agree...and if they do want to contact your landlord then you can get in first and explain.
OP my LL was fine, she said she waasn't interested as long as i kept up to date with the rent, i think most LLs would take that view0 -

Especially if they have their own mortgage to pay on the propertyHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
