 Last week i paid £20 to my natwest credit card as it was £1 over the limit due to a charge i didnt think should be there, 2 days later i paid in a further £40 at a branch this was on the 29th September. I went to use my card yesterday in Asda for £6 and it was declined.
So today i phoned Natwest, after 11 minutes of being in a "short" queue i was told that the money was showing as being paid to the credit card but due to an extra clearing check needed it would be a further 10 days before i can use my card!?!? i have never had this before so am quite

whenever i've paid cash for my credit card at the bank i've always been told 5 working days... when i transfer it online however its only about three...Payment a day challenge:
Capital One Credit Card - £7.55/£1306.560 -
It is illegal for them to put a charge on your card & you are well within your rights to demand it back. If they refuse over the phone then there are full instructions & sample letters for claiming them back on the Consumer Action Group Website.0

I cant see how they can justify this.. Would advise you to go into your local branch, and tell them to get this sorted out ASAP.. as for the unexpected charge.. Claim it back, then they might think twice next time..:mad:0
