It's not ridiculous but it's a great shame that you're allowing her to slip through your fingers because of debt that may not even be a problem for her! Do you hang out with her socially? Am just thinking about you developing a strong friendship first and work from there...perhaps?

You sound like a really nice guy. Have you thought about mystery shopping? I've signed up (although havent done any as yet) but sometimes you can 'shop' at restaurants, and you get paid (about £10) plus the spend back for the meal. This could be something you can do with the girl you like, a nice meal for free. There'll be lots of people on here that can give you better info about this, but it might be worth a look for you.

I wish you well. Go get that girl!
  • Thanks I'll look into the bank charges.

Wow I didn't really expect to be talking about my love life here. She's a colleague, we get on well etc. I just feel completely sub-human at the moment, and would probably be about as good on a date as a corpse.
I need to get my head aorund this and get tings back on track.

Is an IVA a terrible idea? Would it ruin my chances of ever getting a house?

I've been charged a lot of fees. Can you really claim them back.

Yes you can - they have taken your money unlawfully and it will take a while but you will get it back. Get yourself over to https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk and read up, come back anytime and ask questions if you are unsure.

  • Kids Names: Rambo and Elvis.

You can get paid for going out for dinner. Surely this can't be common?

    Even if they're girls?!!! ;)
  • Is there any help you can get with your Open University fees? I`ve been reading about the access to learning fund -there`s more info on the student section of this board.
    Good luck and best wishes.
