YES Loans Stolen my money !!!

Help, 2 days ago i rang YES loans for a loan to consolidate my debts. They answered my call real quick and i spoke to one of there reps ( cannot remember his name ) i went through a few details and stated i wanted a loan for £15000 to clear my loans cards etc. I was pleased when he said i had been accepted by Yes finance and he went on to take details of outgoings and salaries etc. He then i believed ran a credit check at which point i said there where some missed payments that might give me a poor score. He reassured me that these were it was not a problem as they specialised in bad credit loans. He took my debit card details for confirmation of who i was. I was thrilled when he came back and said that they were pleased to offer me a £15000 loan over 5 years for £331 pounds a month. I was so chuffed as i didnt think i would get one and i felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders as i realised i could consolidate all of our debt. He asked me if that was that i was happy to proceed. Ofcourse i jumped at the chance and he explained i would have to pay the £69 administration fee upfront. Now thats a lot of money to me at the moment but he simply took the payment off the card that i had already given details of. He then congratulated me and put me through to another person to finalise the loan. Now i got very suspicious, the man that i was then put through to again congratulated me and then explained it was his job to see if they could offer me the deal they had explained ????? i felt sick that in fact i had not yet been accepted ????? i was really really mad and felt that some one had just stolen £69 off me ( again thats alot of money for me!! ) i expressed my anger to the new man and he simply apologised saying that i had misunderstood. There was no way i had, he made it clear that despite my credit score i had managed to get a loan with them. The man on the phone then went through all my personal details again and amongst all of this kept pestering me to have my PPI investigated although i told him 10 times that i didnt have any and i had already checked, i was getting rather annoyed, now i was put through to another man who said ' sorry, your credit score is to poor for us to offer you a loan !!!!. i was really upset. i asked to be put back through to the dept to get my £69 back and spent a further 45 mins on hold. 2 and a half hours on the phone and nothing to show apart from being down £69. I feel robbed !! been trying to get in touch with them since but on hold for ever. post this morning off a company working for YES to say they have £3000 waiting to transfer in to my account ??!! What can i do now ?? i have spent around 5 hours in the past few days trying to sort this out and now £69 less to spend until the end of the month. Help please. Many Thanks Dan

Firstly... Are you happy with that block of rambling text above??
Can you not read back through it and see how difficult it is to read??

Secondly, they haven't STOLEN your money, you GAVE them your money.

go onto Google and type Yes Loans - What can you see on the VERY FIRST PAGE???
Yes Loans Scam | This is Money

On 7th October 2010 I checked my bank and Yes Loans had took £69.00 from my account - I ... Don't be intimidated by the size of Yes Loans. Take them on. ...

. Fees were taken out of my account by Yes Loans and I can't get a refund.

Yes Loans are not a loan company, but are brokers who charge a fee of £50 to find you a loan company who will lend you the money. ...

I simply cannot believe an MSE'r who has been around since 2009 has not heard of Yes Loans.
I think your best option is to let someone else look after your finances whilst you take lessons on punctuation.

Please search for all the other Yes Loans threads there is absolutely no need to start a new one.

As Apples says, they have not stolen anything from you, you gave them your card details when you heard what you wanted to hear.

BTW, the chances of getting a 15k consolidation loan at the moment from anyone other than your own bank are virtually nil.
  • ? Unfortunately my thread was written in haste as i am rather busy today. You seem to have taken a great deal of pleasure in focusing on how i presented my thread. Thanks very much, that is just what i needed. It seems you were able to understand my post as you were quick to reply, thanks again. Perhaps my previous posts since 2009 had nothing to do with YES loans and maybe thats why i had not heard of them before. I assume from your post that a stupid person such as myself deserves everything they get when it comes to being coned out of money, thanks again. I was not in a position to trawl through the internet whilst i was on the phone to them. I payed on the information i was given at the time and not what is written somewhere on the internet. Thanks for your pointless post, i will ensure i have a dictionary next to me next time i post.

It takes about 2 minutes to Google YES and see what is likely to happen.

You would certainly have spent longer than that on the phone call to them so that explanation does not stack up.

The reason for that is I knew exactly what the story was from the title alone.

I did skim read it, it is too difficult to read otherwise.
Yours is the same story we read every single day.

We don't expect prefect England but at least re-read you post to see if it is legible. The more effort you put into a post, the better the response (as you have found).

Yes loans have been done to death.... many times over.

Some people are so unkind and unhelpful.

I don't understand why some people have to attack others who are looking for support or advice - their only crime being that they may not be as good at presenting their arguments in writing as you are. It doesn't matter what his spelling or grammar is like. The guy has a more important problem to contend with.

I agree he should have researched Yes Loans before approaching them - that's what you would do and what I would do, too. But people who are up to their eyes and ears in debt tend to act on impulse when seeing a potential opportunity to relieve the pain (ill-advised as debt consolidation may be).

DanDaniel: You may want to try posting your query on the Debt Free Wannabe forum. You might get some advice there.

By all means carry on in your World of cuddles and hugs. I'll stay out here where it is all harsh and real.

Dan - You have spent FIVE HOURS on the phone to these people trying to sort this lot out...

How much do you think you have paid them in call fees on top of the broker fee??

Seriously, you are their wet dream of a customer. STOP giving them more of your money.

I won't pay them a single penny, in spite of that I am going to give you 2 minutes of my time for free to help you....

Hmm. So much for the grammatically perfect..........

Companies like YES exist because they are very slick at conning the desperate.....and once again, Apples, it really isn't necessary for regular / long-term posters on this site to be incredibly nasty or condescending to people posting on here for advice, even if the info posted is correct or useful, the way it is portrayed suggests arrogant disrespect for others. What goes around tends to come around. No-one is suggesting cuddles and hugs, but treating others with respect costs nothing. An arrogant attitude has been the downfall of many.
