Hi
I am replacing my free standing cooker with a free standing Bosch multifunction one HCE 744250. On the old one there is only an earth, live and negative connection. On the Bosch there is 6 connections the first one is copper which I presume is earth and the others are numbered 1-5 can you advise on the wiring please?
Many thanks
Vassie

What do the instructions for the Bosch say?0 -
No need to worry, the Part P approved qualified electrician you need to connect it up will know how to proceed. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

You don't need an electrician to replace appliances under part p.
However, you need to be very compfident in you own ability and reasonably competent. Are you?
If so... you really need the manual to identify the connections but I'm guessing you cooker is capable of being connected to either 415 or 230V supplies.
Do you have a manual?
When you've identified the correct terminals, make sure all connections are fully metal to metal (no trapped insulation) and tight. Most overheating / scorching hazrds are down to loose connections.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -
Take it you're not licenced, then?
It seems to be definitely not advisable, and according to the poster above me, it's illegal.

Nope, not illegal provided it's a like for like replacement. Like for like in the context of ovens, cookers, means same power rating.
Very straight forward.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -
I read the manual and there is nothing to help the installer (or me) as to where the cables should go. Confused now0

no installation section at all?
you could try posting a photo.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -

Below that
An all pole isolating switch with a contact gap of at least 3mm not necessary if connected by a plug that is accessable.
A type H05 W-f or equal rated lead must be used to connect the appliance.
The cooker is only being replaced with a new one, does above still apply?
