Ipod accessories under £5 at Boots

Went to boots yesterday to get some accessories for my sisters new ipod, all were half price when scanned at the till

Ipod USB Mains charger - Shelf: £9.50 Scanned £4.75
Ipod Nano Armband Blue - Shelf: £9.50 Scanned £4.75
Ipod Nano Armband Pink- Shelf: £9.50 Scanned £4.75
Apple Remote Control - Shelf: £9.50 Scanned £4.75

Hope this helps for xmas presents!

P.S. Got them to scan the photo adapater this is not discounted still £19.00

Kingston, not the store in the Bentall Centre

No Chargers left..a few armbands though..

Would it...? Boots is one of the last places I would have looked for iPod accessories.

They've been around since august - but nice to know they are still getting stock in. I want a remote, but haven't seen one yet.

I know that Boots have been clearing this kind of stock, I simply put these up here as the shelf says £9.50 this might have put some people off.

The SA was surprised the old style ipod nanos where still at normal price too, keep checking as these are bound to come down..as well as the 512MB shuffle.

I emailed Boots customer service about their ipod prices as they are still selling 30gb ipods at £219 whilst the new versions are only £189.
Their gift guide also lists them at £219 and my store has the old versions of the nano on sale at higher prices than the new version.
I asked them if they were going to reduce the prices and got the following reply after a week and a half, over 2 weeks AFTER the new ipod launch.

I appreciate you contacting us about the price of Ipods in our stores. I am sorry if the gift guide pricing you have seen has led to any confusion and hope that the following information is helpful.

The 30gb Ipod that is currently advertised in our gift guide priced at £219 is the current range we are stocking in our stores, this will however shortly be replaced by the new version that Apple is launching. As this range has not yet been launched in our stores we do not have access to the pricing we will be using. However we do generally sell our products at the recommended retail price.

The stock will be in our stores as soon as it is released by Apple. They will then be happy to deal with any pricing queries that you have.

Clear as mud to me! I only emailed them as I had Boots vouchers so would have preferred to buy my ipod from them. After this reply I went elsewhere as they obviously don't have a clue.
