Remote control sockets

I'm sure i've seen these advertised in either aldi or lidl this week, but i can't for the life of me seem to find them.

I think that they were about £6 just wondered if anyone had seen the advert ?

No idea but I bought a set from Asda for a fiver and I'm sure I saw the same set in Morrisons recently for a £5. Three socket/plugs with one remote control. They are great for side lights and especially Christmas lights. I'll post back if I can find the name.

Checked my Morrisons this morning and they are called Advent and are beside the light bulbs. Pack of 3 + one remote is £4.99 or pack of one + one remote is £1.99.

edited to add, the name you are looking for is STATUS, not Advent.

Morrisons also had these advertised on their petrol pumps yesterday for £4.99, prob get them in the petrol shop.

I have the same set from Asda. The brand is called STATUS. You cannot get these online, but in ASDA or ASDA LIVING stores. There is a set of 3 remote control sockets on the site but they are £45!!! I bought another set too as the price was so great, tho I am only using one at the mo for my extention plugs, so the tv, DVD and Sky+ box all switch off together, tho if I want to record while out I can switch off with normal remote.

I'd also like to add that the batteries for these are L1028 type, smaller than AAA. I'm not sure if ASDA stock these or where locally they can be bought but I have found a pack of 5 batteries at Amazon.co.uk http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pack-GP-Alkaline-23AE-12V/dp/B003CZ6C02/ref=pd_cp_ce_2 currently @ £2.04 inc delivery.

Just checked the box again from Morrisons as I bought a single one this morning and goodness knows where I got Advent from, think it was because I was Googling for them to try and find a picture.

Anyway, Morrisons are selling the Status ones at a fiver and this is what you are looking for.
