  • it sounds like a good deal from tesco but can anyone confirm tesco cards have 3g capability? I twice ordered a sim from tesco but cant get a 3g signal when used in my unlocked htc hd2 and my other half's unlocked iphone hence i terminated contracts. Anyone successfully got 3g signal on tesco sim £10 deal?

oh and if like me you are already a tesco mobile customer (i was on the old £15 a month deal 500 minutes unlimited txt and data) you can just call up and ask to change plans - easy. :)

Can you keep the same number ?

:money:This £10 Tesco deal for 500 mins runs out the end of this month!

As it's a rolling contract will this affect people who already have the deal?

    Your question answers itself !

  • Yes I get 3g on my phone with the tesco sim.

And yes I was told the price will stay the same even after the special offer period ends.

Be aware that Virgin are STILL having problems taking off the discount for this offer. They offered me 600 mins, unlimited text and web for £10 but every month they have cocked up the direct debit on all 3 of the phones I switched to this deal. Yesterday they told me that their IT team are finally onto it but it wont be sorted till January. SO expect to have to ring up next month to ask for a credit to be put on................as I have since September

I too have done this with virgin today and got a £10 credit on my 800min unlimited virgin mins, web, and texts , but please note i do have virgin media services so they may not be too willing to do it if you dont :T

Maybe but I have just googled and found this:
    '30 Day Rolling Contract
You don't have to sign up for lengthy contracts if you don't want to get tied to contracts. You can sign up for a 30 day rolling contract if you want. This allows you to cancel your plan at anytime you want if you are not satisfied with the service as long as you give a 30-day notification.'

So I took it that Tesco are changing the terms of the contract.

From what you are implying the contract is one way in the customers favour!

Tesco are everywhere! : ) Does anyone else find it slightly bizarre to get a mobile contract with a supermarket as opposed to the traditional network operators??
