Well, totally out of the blue I have tonight been offered a Census 2011 Co-ordinator job that I had previously been turned down for!

Have accepted subject to reference and CBR checks. Am a bit nervous about it all really, the money will be great (very handy for paying off the mortgage!) but I haven't worked in 4 years since I had DD so am worried that I won't be up to it.

Am looking forward to it as I am very into my family history so want to "do my bit" as it were, but scared at the same time!! Everything always seems to come at once, I am also starting an 18 month family history course in February as well as juggling my two small children. OMG its going to be a nightmare! But the job is only for 16 weeks.

I can see "only 16 weeks" becoming my mantra!!

Well, I am bringing my mortgage free dream back to life after a glitch of 6 months or so. I hit 30 tomorrow and really want to be paying a bit extra off every month even if it is £50.

With the cost of everything going up I am going to really try and budget food shopping and meal plan to try and save as much as I can. #

Have been selling some small things on ebay the last couple of weeks and have made £20, not much but it all helps!

Happy birthday for tomorrow. I hope the last 6 months have not been too bad.

Well, after having a really good month of planning and budgeting I have managed to overpay £150!

When I called my provider at the start of the week, the balance on the mortgage was £130,226.30 so with the overpayment and Augusts regular payment, we will be sub £130k!!

Should motivate me a bit when I see that figure next month!

That's good news. If we only repay what we have to we'll only hit the sub 130's in June 2016.
