im posting on behalf of my dad who has a daughter who is now 22 he did not know anything about her until he received a letter from csa to pay for her which he has been doing ever since, he is also paying arears for the years he didnt pay. he is however still paying maintenence of £35 a week even though she is 22 and when he has asked csa about this they say they have no record of him still paying and no idea where the money has gone, he also has problems with how much the arears are depending on who he speaks to the amount changes by anything upto £10,000. what can he do?

Ask for his Data Protection File, NACSA have a template on their website, it will cost him £10 but will/should include all personal information they hold relating to his case.
He should also ask for a full and complete account breakdown and audit of account, tell him to put this in writing, send recorded delivery and keep Royal Mail basrcode print off (from computer) as proof signature that they received it. From now on he will need a paper trail of all CSA correspondence as they are totally inefficient and can ruin lives - both parties!!!
MP's can also help as they hold a Parliamentary Hotline with regard to CSA matters, but some are more helpful than others!!!0 -
thanks! wil definatly try that at the moment just seems to be going round in circles!0

Joint the rest of us on the CSA round about.
As BDT1 suggested get your DP files but make sure you are specific about what you want as the idiots will stall you by sending you a stupid letter of what you want and what offices your case has been dealt with. They have 40 working days (not including weekends) to supply you with the files but expect it to be longer.0
