Bath Buddy overflow alarm £5 Argos

I have just reseved one of these at my local Argos, not sure whether to go ahead and buy it or not.
Have any other members bought anything like this before?
It takes ages to run the hot water in the bathroom as our boiler isn't the best in the world (it has been serviced and passed the tests but it is just old).
Because it takes a while to run the water it could be forgotten about so I suppose one of these may be a worthile buy.
