    Annie thanks. Not only that I was told that my money saver can only be funded from the classic account but that is also my understanding based on the T & C that I've signed.

    Anyway I would clarify it again when I'm going to visit te branch.

    I've just opened a Monthly Saver and my interpretation is you can pay in the standing order from anywhere other than a Lloyds TSB Savings Account
    Your Standing Order Payments:

    • for a period of 24 months from account opening you can make a monthly payment of between £25 and £250;
    • if your payment in is less than £25 or more than £250, we will return it to you;.
    • no other money can be paid into your account;
    • your first payment must be made within 30 days of account opening;
    payments can’t be made from another Lloyds TSB savings account;
    • you can only make one payment each calendar month;
    • if you miss a payment you can’t make it up.

    To open an account you must have a Lloyds TSB current account but there is no mention that the Standing order has to come from the current account
    To apply:

    • you must be 16 or over; and
    • have a current account with Lloyds TSB.

    Your first actual payment has to be made within 7 days and then a subsequent direct debit within 30 days. Make sure you do this or you may lose out.

    I've done that with mine, I opened the account and moved in £500 straight away, then had a £250 standing order set up for a couple of days later, the guy in the branch actually said I couldn't do that but I told him to check the T&C and explained I thought it said within 30days and 2 days time is within 30days.

    So I opened it at the end of September and got my first payment in also in September which means I can now have my future standing orders all going in at the beginning of each month :D getting as much into the account as early as possible.
