Statement of earnings

Hi folks
I can't find my P60 from my employer so requested a statement of earnings. I asked twice and was shocked when I got a figure of my earnings and a figure of what tax had been deducted emailed in a reply to me. This information is what I'm relying on so I can apply fir Local Housing Allowance so therefore I'm trying to locate the forms myself.
Is this the form my employer should complete? Form L17?
http://www.legalservices.gov.uk/docs/forms/l17.pdf
I am aware that my employer has an obligation to legally fulfil a request for this information but if they aren't fully aware what to send I find it easier to locate the form myself.
Thanks in advance for any help

No, that forms for legal aid...just a letter from your employer will do.
You employer does not have to fulfill any "legal obligation" as they already have done so by providing you with a P60. If you've lost it then that's too bad. What wrong with providing council with payslips? They want to know what you are earning now not last year.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Sorry, not sure, and not sure this was the best board to ask on (Benefits might have been better), but tomorrow I would think the local council would be able to answer this, wouldn't they?Signature removed for peace of mind0
