Cheap second-hand or new road bike

Hi all,
I am cycling to work (London), about 7 miles each way, on a old, hybrid bike, which I got for £40 from a friend.
The problem is, this bike is old, heavy, slow and starting to have some problems. Instead of replacing parts, I would prefer to get a better road bike (lighter, faster) for a decent price.
I know that for the price I can afford (£100 max), all I can get is a second-hand bike. Which I don't mind, just not sure where.
Is there anywhere in London or online I could get an ok cheap, used bike? I don't expect a top of the range one for that sort of price obviously. Just one that can get me from A to B (and fast);).
