they still haven't got it right, if you order 3 items @ 4.99 and another 3 @ 9.99 it will take off the 2 items @ 4.99 instead of 1 x 4.99 and 1 x 9.99,0

Lots of places do that. Tesco for example the cheapest ones were free with the back to school stuff (eg 3@£10 +3@£1 = 2@£1 free). Just have to order carefully to get the best deal.
