Sorry to disappoint you and your friend, but the original G&R haven't reformed! After the group split up, Axl Rose retained the rights to the name and the new G&R are Axl and new band members. They're touring the 'Chinese Democracy' album that was released in November 2008.

I have just emailed FilmFirst that I cant go to G&R tonight so there are probably two tickets now available. I hope someone else will get a chance to go, I didn't realise I could PM them to someone.

I hope they turn up, they struggle to attend gigs that the fans pay for so i hope they dont let you down

I went to their last tour when they appeared at Wembley Arena. It was a good show. Ok so Axl Rose is the only remaining original member but really it was his voice that defined the band so for a live show that's really all that counts. As with the other UK gigs the band took the stage late such that many people had to leave before the end to catch trains, etc.

I havent managed to get tickets this time, so if any has a couple spare please let me know:beer:

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to the very kind MSE'er who transferred their tickets - me and my friend had an amazing time tonight and what a bonus, Sebastian Bach supported. He was even on stage topless at the end

Shame Gn'R didn't come on stage till 10 pm, an hour late, which meant we had to miss the end as even living in London it wouldn't have been possible to get the last tube if we'd stayed. Stunning gig, best I've seen in a long time, and Axl still has an amazing voice.
