One down, only another 12 to go! :j
Just paid off the Vertbaudet account - only £19, but it's one less to think about.
The next one on the list is Classic Combination, and that should be gone by the 20th, so this is a good month
Sadly, the next one after that won't be until November, but at least it's this year, and not that far away really ( what am I saying?!

Hi earthmother we go back a long way
Its weird knowing you without debt and now with it
Anywyas you seem to be doing well and the debts are coming down ~ good for you :j 0 -
Thanks both

Posting - trying to think how far back it is - eBay boards wasn't it originally? If so, you knew me with debt (pre-MSE), without debt, and with debt again (bummer!) - hopefully the debt cycle won't repeat again
Elantan - I'm going to have to admit - I know the name but can't place where from (happens to me in real life too, so please don't be put out - I'm just abysmal with names and faces/places, real or virtual)

Yes pre debt 5 years ago  2003  that feels like an age away :rotfl:0 -
That long! Crikey! You've got a good memory

It is an age away though - I was still in my 20s and just had a toddler (and a bump) back then - now I'm in my 30s and have a toddler, a pre-schooler and a precocious Kevin, lol.
Making me feel old now *sob*

Well, had a bit of a shuffle, and the Classic was paid off this morning - that's another £50 off the debt list, and now only 11 creditors left.
I'm aiming for the Simply Be and Kays accounts next - should be November, with Littlewoods in December - so there won't be much movement on my SOA for a while now (I hate these periods of 'nothing' - that's when resolve starts to slip).

Here's a conundrum (and a long word for a Saturday morning, lol) -
Hubby and I have both had good Quidco payouts this month (winging their way to our accounts as we speak) - they total approximately £110, which is enough to pay off the next creditor (Simply Be, who wasn't due to go until November), and would save about £30 interest in the process.
But, on the other hand, do I instead, leave Simply Be to run as originally planned and bank the money?
£110 would be a welcome addition to the cash funds, as between now and the end of the summer holidays, hubby needs new glasses (we get NHS costs, but he needs hypoallergenic frames, so we still have to budget for them), our Motability car is up for renewal (going for a grant, but still need to keep a lump sum of some sort available for associated expenses and downpayment contribution), and of course there is the summer holidays itself, and the kitting out of son no.2 ready for his start at school in September.
Paying off the Simply Be only adds 4 minimum payments (£40) to the pot in the same time frame (the rest of the debt going after September in the original plan).
Which would you do?DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0
