Showing as £35 in Boots and £34.97 at Tesco for what looks like the same doll.
There is a 6 inch talking doll available from Play.com for £13.99.

  • Hi, Im not sure if they are exactly the same, I paid £40 for Talking Jessie for daughters bday in August - Jessie has wool hair and this one appears to have plastic hair? Still fab price though OP

The disney store ones are very good value, but I think they are exclusive to the disney store and those exact dolls arent available elsewhere.
It is very confusing the number of toy story dolls out there, makes it very difficult for price comparison, and I'm sure some amazon sellers have got lots of the dolls all mixed up .
now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it :o

I bought my dd a Jessie from disneystore using the codes for £5 off + 10% discount code + add baby toy for free delivery. Details on the slipper thread.

This is a different doll to those elsewhere, some are interactive, some have more phrases and as last poster said the hair is different. My dd won't know the difference she's only 3, jessie is jessie to her whichever one it is, having this model meant I could afford to get her a Hamm and a Lotso aswell. :money:

Hi guys! Yes, it does seem quite confusing coz of the number of dolls out there. I am def not an expert as my kids are ( sadly ), too old for these and so I have not been researching-so any comments will be most helpful and welcome to those looking at the post:A
Hopefully, as someone pointed out, if your children are too young to know the difference or you are short of cash-the cheaper dolls might be a good buy.x Thanks guys:)

Yes the ones in Disney store are slightly different from the £30-£40odd ones you find in most shops, I think they say less and do less but as people have said if you'e buying for a younger child they may not notice or appreciate the difference anyway! I think I may well get these £20 versions for my 3 year old as I think he'll just be pleased with a talking toy :)
  • Just an observation on the disney store Woody. Doesn't sound like him!!

I took him back as my son said 'Thats not Woody!' ..... very strange.

Surely Tom Hanks can do the voice for the disney shop specific ones!!
A small Thank You can make a BIG difference ;)
  • Totally agree with you all re buying any price Jessie - I have a very headstrong daughter who only wanted the one she picked (beleive me I did try and persuade her to like a different one, but NO!) and was her main birthday present. £20 seems a really good price for the disney one...

Again I'm lucky...my dd wouldn't notice, but I like when it he says 'there's a snake in my boot' :rotfl: She got woody last week when went to disneystore she hasn't put him down since.

I defo agree this version is better for the younger ones who are too young to notice or appreciate the extras you are paying for, on the xmas toy thread it seems older kids have their eye on particular models...just to make a parents job harder they bring out several models of the same toy.
