Went into WH Smith today and bought The Hairy Bikers Mum Knows Best for £7.99 and The Tour of Britan (think that's the title:) for £6.25, just the job for hubby's Christmas pressies!! There were quite a few reduced books, mainly cooking and gardening, but well worth a look.

Also just a tip, if you have bought anything in Whsmith in the last couple of weeks they will have given you a discount card that starts Thursday 21st October , this gives you an extra 20% off some things and 10% off others (can't remember exactly what), but the long and the short of it is that last year I was able to combine both the 20% off books and the £5 off voucher.

Just went to my local WH Smith and picked these up. Great deal

Be careful - they had the "Mum Knows Best" book on sale for £10 elsewhere in the store as well, and not £7.99.

If you manage to get the 20% saving and £5 off (which will require spending £18.75 before taking 20% off) as you need to spend £15 after discount to get £5 off), then the books together will cost £6.39, an amazing saving.

£24.52 at Amazon, the next cheapest place I could find.

I bought the Hary Bikers book today along with another book and used the £5 of £15 spend voucher. Just a note to say the Hairy Biker book I bought was £7.99 upstairs and downstairs they were marked at £9.99, so might be worth checking round the store!

I was in WHSmith today as I wanted to see the latest offers, unfortunately my store obviously cannot be bothered to mark up the deals as they have an end of isle saying up to half price off but nothing on the books to tell you the actual price!:mad:
Why change the offers so fequently if the staff can't keep up, surely there must be a better system?
