  • has anyone used this site before? looks too good to be true!
  • They look really good :D Thanks OP
  • Dont take my word as being 100% correct, but after a little bit of digging I would say it seems like a genuine site, the whois details for the domain name are as follows:

    Domain name:
    shop4online.co.uk

    Registrant:
    Robell Media Promotions Limited

    Registrant type:
Other UK Entity (e.g. clubs, associations, many universities)

    Registrant's address:
    Units 3 & 4
    North Heath Lane Estate
    Horsham
    West Sussex
    RH12 5QE
    United Kingdom

So it is registered to a "real" registered company, the only thing of concern here is the category being listed as "other UK Entity" a bit unusual for an e-commerce business but nothing that would raise any alarm bells TBH.

The checkout process IS done under a valid https security certificate and if you look at the bottom of any of the pages there is a link back to what looks like a parent company Robell that seem to have irons in many fires.

You could google for reviews I take these at a pinch of salt though they can too easily be fabricated so have not even bothered to check this, on the face of it all seems fine and genuine :)

If I remember correctly, last year those who ordered early seemed to get their goods. Those who ordered late had more problems and I think some either received their goods after Christmas or not at all (I can't recall whether they were refunded - I presume so). I reckon its worth £3.35, only a small risk, and this site seems to deal with a lot of different promotions for newspapers so it does appear to be kosher ;o)

I ordered a goody bag for him last year. It contained a CD, DVD and 2 PB's I think and took about a month from ordering to receipt. The contents vary I think, not everyone receives the same items but providing you like what yours contains it's worth it as a stocking filler.
