Instrumental Aerosmith (Dont wanna miss a thing)

Hello,
I have also asked for this on the "want it" board but i thought this was a good place too as one of you lovely ladies may have used the song yourself...
I am in deserate need of a (GOOD) instrumental version of the aerosmith classic 'I dont wanna miss a thing' OH wants it to be our first dance song, but i have also always wanted to walk down the ailse to it, so to stop obvious repetition im looking for a different version for the church,
ive had a look around (googling and youtubing) and all i can find is tinny reproductions, kareoke covers and nasty versions with a half strangled backing singer...
what i need is basically the original but with all the singing removed, is there such a thing?
and if not... during the film armeggedon they play 2 different versions of the song, the normal one we all know and love and a more acoustic version,
does anyone know where i can get hold of that? as its not on the released soundtrack for some reason
thanks for reading!

Have you tried flicking through all the songs on Spotify? That's a great place to find other versions. Once you know what it is you can then search out to buy it?I love surprises!0

Thanks, will check out spotify,
I was on that piano site earlier and there are some good covers on there but the song im after has that full orchestra feel to it so the version with just the piano sounds a bit... i dont know, a bit weedy?
its nice... but in my head ive got the original arrangement just with no words
thanks so much for looking though0 -
It may be possible to get hold of an instrumental version but what you can't do is just have the original minus vocals as you'd have no melody. That's where people come unstuck at karaoke...they think they'll be singing the words to music that sounds the same as the song they hear on the radio when in fact the melody comes from the vocals themselves in many cases, and the backing is...well just backing. My OH may be able to find an instrumental version but it won't be like hearing the song without the words - let me know if you want him to look as he has access to all sorts of stuff0

thanks ellay,
ive heard a few versions that dont have the lead vocals but still have the backing singer which would sound ridicluous as im walking down the ailse... lovely orchestral music til just before the chorus when some lone bloke sings TREAAAAAASUREEEEEEEEEEE!
i understand thats the karaoke version and people need the backing for that but im really hoping i can find something just like the original with no singing at all,
its such a lovely piece of music anyway i cant belive its so hard to find!
if you could help in any way i would be very grateful0 -
Just had a quick look on Amazon and there are 2 CDs of music for Armageddon - the soundtrack and the original score. Have you checked that the original score doesn't contain the music you are looking for?0

I'm having an Incubus cover played by Vitamin String Quartet (found it on iTunes). They've done hundreds of covers and I'm sure I've seen Aerosmith on there.
Hope that helps0 -
Do you, or anyone you know, know a local band who could record it for you?
Try the local college, if you don't know anyone. I'm sure you'd find someone who would do it for, say, a crate of beer.0 -

I second what MoneyMiser says, that site is fab. Although, best not to listen to the samples whilst wathcing the Chilean Miners be reunited with their families. Get the tissues out! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0
