Hmm - electronic BP monitors are great for self awareness, but are notorious for giving incorrect readings - no more so than because Joe Public would never think to get them calibrated...

Never rely on one of these soley, and if you think you may have a problem go see your GP.

If you're buying on because you are just gadget crazy, then that is a different kettle of fish, but again, if you get dodgy looking results it's either time to get it calibrated or time to make an appointment to see your doc...

    Hi there!
Got the TENS machine a few weeks ago to use on OH´s achey knees. Great success.....never had to take pain killers since using. Was doubtful, because looked small, but just the job.

We bought the scales and ear thermometer last time they were on offer. Both good quality, though the scales are a bit fiddly to start off - you set up a profile for each person. The thermometer is excellent - these are often £25 plus - ours came in a little pouch with spare hygiene covers. It is a great buy for anyone with kids or as a present for someone having/just had a new baby. The reading is very quick and (supposedly) very accurate.

Best to check before you go, unfortunately some of these offers have date-expired. The original post for the blood pressure monitor is still valid. They are all subject to availability.
"Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience." Anon.
  • I've just bought one of the Blood Pressure Monitors.
It really is very good quality and very easy to use.
The advice which comes with the monitor is also very helpful.
Just posting this to remind folk that the offer is still available at Lloydspharmacy. Be warned it does flash up full price on the till before the offer discount is applied so I suspect it will be back up to full price eventually.

These offers have been going for ages. I think that their 'Was' prices are heavily over inflated.
  • just wanted to say that I have got the thermometer, blood pressure monitor & tens machine - all of which were good quality and do exactly what they say they do with no probs. Replacement ear covers for the thermometer & pads for tens machine are a little pricey though!!

I doubt though you would get such a good quality monitor for £9.99 anywhere else. I just posted to remind folks it's still available.
But while I'm here I'll supplement the information Lloyds provide with
