Lead pipe replacement

Hi folks,

I'm suffering with very poor water pressure in my house (an old mid-terraced), which I've been told by NI Water is to do with old lead pipes supplying the house.

They've said that they would replace the pipes from the street to the front door for no cost - anything inside the house, I'll have to do myself. Has anyone else had experience with this and if so, could you recommend a decent company to call and get a quote?

Thanks! :)

    Got mine done last month.
You have to go to Ordnance Survey office 27/45 Great Victoria Street and pay £30 yes for street map of your street.send this back with your form. Water board will come out and mark spot from your streetmains to your front door.
Next I got two handymen who came and drilled a hole under my frontdoor and laid blue pipe which waterboard insist on then drilled hole in hallyway ceiling to bedroom then through bedroom ceiling into attic and connected to water tank and charged £200.
I live in Lurgan and i cant believe how fast the water flow is now.

Thanks bjo - so these guys laid your internal pipes and the water board did the bit from the street to the front door? Sounds like quite a job for a 'handyman' mind you - the guys obviously knew what they were doing? If you could provide a contact number, I'll ring them and see if I can get a quote.

    Thanks,
