Anyone know what the Spanish Chicken and the Stroganoff ones are like?

  • just a warning (sort off) if you get your groceries delivered and HP is out of stock then check very carefully what they have substituted.

I ordered 2 curry and a straganoff.... they didn't have the curry so they substituted the 2 500g curries for... wait for it 1 720g curry!!!! Maths was clearly not the shoppers strong point!

So kids were going mental and i just said to guy who offered to take it away to leave it...then it dawned on me if they scanned the 720g jar I would not have qualified for the offer.

Checked receipt and I was right instead of getting 2 free jars of 500g I got charged for 1 720g jar at 1.99.

Phones CS who were fine (if not also slightly confused by how much I had actually been overcharged). I told them I was owed the £2.98 that i should have had taken off me in savings. Well they did ask me:D
In fact i should only have had 1.99 back that I was charged for the larger jar!

She then said anything else wrong with the order...I said yes..I don't have the right amount of sauce that i should have! They should have substituted for a 1kg jar.

She then refunded my delivery charge!!! Good outcome all round! Another free Tesco shop and £1 bonus for the hassle of the phone call!:T

LOL that's my absolute fave! Havent tried many others right enough. Even you saying it reminds you of vomit doesnt put me off. Maybe you just got a dodgy jar. ;)

Tomato and herb is the only one we have. My son loves it too and he's only 2! Easy meal that cooks itself really :) No hassle!

    QUOTE]

Went down this afternoon to stock up with Sausage Casserole and the yellow SEL is stating maximum 18 per customer.

Don't know whether this is 18 of each flavour or whether the tills are programmed to flag this up or now.

So, that's 18 jars a day, or bring the family with you :D

    Thanks OP!

Stocked up at sainsburys, 6 for the step-daughter who recently moved out, got some reserved for SIL to be, and 15 left for us!

Will stock up more at mr T this time as payday falls favourably this time. Hmm, someone said they paid £1,37 for 1 x £1.37 and 2 x £1.49.

Does this mean putting at least 1 £1,37 jar through per 3 means gettin charged £1.37 for every 3? 5p cheaper compared to JS, but clubcard points too.

    When's triple points on!?:p

We have that one too! I suggest try the other flavours when on offer so if you dont like them you wont be too upset, but spicy tomato and pepperoni is lovely! quite a tang :)

    HTH.

P.s SIL recommends cheese and ham!
