Dumb blonde needs help

New to this site today looking for help.
Can anyone explain in a way a blonde can understand,
I have a court order saying the child maintenance and spouse Maintenance is index linked and adjusted accordingly every 12 months from the date of the order, the variation shall be the difference in the RPI on the date 15 months before the variation date and 3 months before the variation date !!! CONFUSED. com the date of the order is 2/9/2008 and i need to know if/should it have been adjusted !
