help- dont know if this is the right forum for this - just bought 2 food flasks for the kids so they can have pasta for school for a change - pre heated them - couldnt get an answer out of them if food was hot or not? (4+7yrs) but judging by ds's white top that was covered with ravoli sauce after school dont think they managed to well - dd seemed to be fine but am asuming she had some help! ds said it just exploded on him when he tried to open it . the flasks are prob not the best for the job they have two tops in one - one for drink and one for food - on emptying them half of the pasta / raviloi was still in them - does anyone know of a good make that they have tried and tested suitable for the little ones.:D

Hi,
Not sure what sort you are using, but when I picture a food flask, it dosn't have a cup on the top. I have two flasks for drinks and they have cups on top. I can picture a bigger flask that has two cups but I just thought this made it suitable for two people
You can get wide neck flasks, which are also shorter than a normal flask, this might make things abit easier.
Sorry about the white top, by the way0 -
My ds uses a stainless steel thermos food flask for taking soup for lunch, like this
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thermos-Everyday-Stainless-Steel-Litre/dp/B001F514U4/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1286902189&sr=8-8
It keeps the soup hot, and he's 8 now, been using it since he was 5 and there's never been an issue with the soup "exploding" when it's opened. He also thinks he's the dog's Bs as it's the same as his dad's!:rotfl:0 -
DD has this one.

I never fill it quite to the top. She tells me the food is warm but not hot.0
