Default notice removal on compassionate grounds

Options
Hi,

The reason for my post is I was wondering what my chances are of having default notices removed on compassionate grounds? I have written both companies a letter (enclosing a copy of my credit file and a letter from our Landlord confirming we are good payers) requesting that the notices be removed as I am now totally different with regards to my attitude to borrowing. Both defaults are from 2005 (May & September) and will both come off my credit file next year, but having recently been declined for a mortgage (despite originally being approved, valuation booked etc) I wanted to get these removed.

I wondered whether anyone had experience of having defaults removed early on compassionate grounds?

Any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated.
