hi my ex left the country in 1995, after losing a custody battle with me, he has nevr in 2 years paid a penny towards our children. he now resides in Germany. I battled with the csa for 3 years after he left, and they were, to say the least useless. they closed the case as he was out of the country. I have only just found out bout this remo thingy, and have the nseccary paperwork on its way now. my question is, will they backdate this?? and is there much sucsess?

Hello, did you have a maintenance/court order set up in the uk for child support? Can you give more details so that we know how to answer your question?
I don't think that you will get anything backdated. But, are you sure that the CSA correctly closed your case? I'm fighting a similar thing - CSA closed the case, and as a result I'm awaiting a tribunal hearing as I believe, by law, they should'nt have done.
Does your ex return to this country, does he have a home here, or any connections whatsoever? And, did he pay voluntarily from 1997 until 2008? Why did he stop?0 -
he lost custdy and a maintenance order was set up by csa, his slicitor advised him to leave country to avoid paying ,
the csa lost details, and i remember they said they merged and again my case was lost, this went on for a long long time, in the end they told me he owed me but could not force him to and said the case was closed .
he does not have any family here in uk, nor has he ever paid a single penny, via csa or personally to me or my children . he does not have a home here. hope this helps .ect ect ect ect ect ect ooohhh the blood is boiling! :rotfl:

You will need to start from scratch. This means you need to contact your local magistrates court and request a REMO application. This will then be put before the magistrate (you'll attend) to swear all the info is correct. This will then be forwarded to the London REMO office where they send it to the office in France where the ex lives.
You'll need to know his address in France.
It is a long drawn out process, nobody could say how long, but REMO does work, and you have every chance of seeing something from him eventually.
Good luck!0
