Can I ask some advice from Boots orderers?

Hi all

I have marked a lot of 342 toys for my daughters birthday and xmas on the boots site and am about to buy. I am however a little worried about what happens if something isn't in stock.

At present they are all showing in stock, does that mean they will all be delivered as I expect or could some items go out of stock during me placing my order and it being delivered.

Some of the things I have ordered are actually more expensive as individual items on boots but because of the 342 it works out cheaper. I don't want to end up paying more because something is out of stock and the 342's get messed up

I have just had a look around and can't find anything about this.

But in my experience Boots online is pretty good at updating stock levels...(Dunno if it is done automatically)

You can also keep an eye on your order status and if you see anything thats missing you can always contact them and enquire about it.

Last year I placed an order for 3 for 2 gifts. When one item was out of stock they still sent out the other two but charged me full price.
I ended up sending them back.

I have always found boot's online customer service very good if you do end up with an item out of stock i would just return the others .

My advice would be order them asap because a lot of stock does tend to go early.

And dont forget to go through a cashback site and use any discount/extra points codes!!!!!!!!
I order most of my xmas shopping from boots and find them very reliable and helpfull with problems

Cut and paste from my last order confirmation email - where a 3for2 item was out of stock when they came to despatch -

If you have ordered a promotional item, but had the free item cancelled and we have dispatched the chargeable items, please be assured we will refund one of these items. This is to ensure you are not disadvantaged. You will see a refund appear on your bank statement.

My refund isn't through yet - but there again neither are the points (other thread seems to indicate they are delayed at present) - will let you know if/when the refund occurs

When browsing always check the "in stock" button at the top of the list rather than "show all" then you'll know for definite that it is in stock.
