I have made a steak and ale pudding and have some of the ale left over. Can I freeze it?

Not sure about this myself but, why would you want to freeze it? Drink it. DRINK IT ALL NOW!

If not, I'll happily take it off you hands ;)

You can freeze it, but it won't freeze completely solid due to the alcohol.

you can freeze it if you just need it for cooking, the taste should still be there but it looses all the fizz so I wouldn't try drinking it. Don't freeze it in the bottle as this will be liable to crack.

dont freeze beer if you plan on drinking it.

dont now what it does to it but it like splits into water and alcohol and you never get the taste back. it ends up tasting like watered down shandy bass that is flat.

i know from an over agressive fridge cooler compartment:mad:
NURSE: "Shouldn't it be sterilized, doctor?"
DR. BENWAY: "Very likely but there's no time."
  • I've frozen cider then de-frosted it and used it in casseroles so I'm sure you could do the same with beer. Put it in a plastic container (yoghurt pots are good) but remember to leave space at the top so that it has room to expand if needed!
