Plastic in Yoghurt !

Morning

My daughter was eating a Tesco fruit yoghurt , and there was this piece of what looked like orange skin , about and inch or a little more in it ,next thing we knew its in her mouth and she`s trying to swallow it , its what looks like thick plastic ! i dread to think what would have happened if i didnt just happen to be watching her eating !

I want to complain to Tesco but i dont want to be fobbed off by the local store , any ideas on who/where to complain to ? we have the pot and offending object , and i have taken a couple of pictures...

I found something strange in my apple juice and sent it with the bar code/batch number from the carton to the head office in Cheshunt and I got an apology and £10 gift card.
  • firstly its a good idea to ring tesco helpline and tell them about this so they can maybe destroy the batches still in stores and then as its your young daughter (tell them Baby and add the words health and saftey in there somewhere) u want it tested just incase it may have done harm to her. then tell them how can you send it to them safely.

if she is a baby you should be watching her eat anyway. contact the store and ask what their procedure is. Why would you be fobbed off by the store? do you mean not given loads of money?
  • well, your signatures accurate at least ;)

I had a similar situation with a product from M&S. I e-mailed them to begin with and they gave me an address to send the product and packaging to. Couple of weeks later, I received a letter saying the plastic was from a cleaning tool and they've upgraded them now so it shouldn't happen again. I also got a £15 giftcard!
