:(Hi, one for the dental peeps!!
My 14yr old has had a fixed brace fitted to her top teeth, its been on12 days and the blocks that are fixed onto the teeth, well, the very back one has come loose.
Only on one side, and the brace isn't broken, but it is loose, no longer fixed tight to her tooth.
I'm going to ring the orthadontist this morning, but would the normal dentist be able to fix it?
Don't know why this has happened because she has been sooooooooooooooooo meticulous with looking after it, cleaning it, not eating/drinking the wrong stuff, she's gutted .

Usually the bracket (block) will be replaced and most general dentists don't keep these, or the elastic modules used to keep them on so it's a job for the orthodontist I'm afraid. Don't worry too much about it though, orthodontists accept that these things happen and as long as (like you said) she has looked after it well (they can tell!) there will be no problem with fixing it.0

I wouldn't worry too much, it seems pretty common. When i had braces i think a bracket came unglued 2 or 3 times and once was on the way home from the dentists. Unless it happened when she was eating something chewy it'll just be because there's a lot of stress on the bracket, especially at first, and the glue gives way easier than the wire.0

Don't worry - these things happen
We've had about 5 years of fixed brace experience (DS1 & DD2) and occasionally the brackets pop off - usually at the back and usually within a fortnight of being applied / reapplied.
Orthodontist see this all the time. Your daughter has done everything right so don't worry. Good luck.
