Graco Demios Highchair £60 Asda Baby & Toddler Event - Which? Best Buy

RRP of this chair is £89.99 at retailers such as Boots and Argos. Luckily I waited and Asda are now selling them for £60 in the current Baby Event. Had already done my homework and decided on this one as it is a Which? best buy. Great value at this price. :j

  • Save yourself even more money and buy an Antilop highchair from Ikea at £10.99 - this is by far the best highchair on the market, it is fab!! I have recommended it to tons of mummies and I haven't heard a single bad review of it.

    £4 extra with a tray - still a fantastic bargain under £15

  • My friend has just got this ikea one and says its fab, if you register with them you get a family card and a further 25% off the highchair and any other baby stuff! Im still debating which one to get as not got a lot of room in our kitchen! :j

I would definately get the ikea one (or if you can afford it, the tripp trapp). Although the padded ones look like they will be nice and comfy (especially as when you are buying a highchair its for a tiny baby), those babies quickly grow and the all that lovely comfy padding becomes a total pain as all the little bits of food get stuck in it and you end up having to clean it threee times a day and it still looks minging.

You really want something that you can easily clean.

There is no doubt that the Ikea chair is great value at £10.99. However if you are looking for something a bit more substantial then it's useful to know the following:

The reasons the Graco is a best buy is that it is suitable from 4 months, has a 5 point safety harness, 3 stage recline (great for baby to snooze in after dinner), height adjustable and is the most compact folding chair on the market. This was important for me as I didn't want it to be on show all the time. Just for info has a removable play tray and a fixed smaller one for babies. Hope this helps!

I just called Ikea and the advisor told me highchair is never on the discount list of baby stuff! A bit disappointed though. Do you know which baby products are in the list? (The man told me I have to go into store and look at each item 'cause they changed the discounts from time to time)
