My OH's bike was stolen a few weeks ago. We reported it to the police but didnt think that it would ever be found. The police turned up on our doorstep just now saying that they have found the bike. Someone who lives in our street found it by a bus stop around the corner. She took it in for safe keeping and then went on holiday. Now that she is back she rang the police who have now returned it to us! :T :j
The only problem is, we reported the theft to the insurance company who gave us a replacement bike. They couldnt give us same model of bike that had been stolen but gave us a bike to an equal value. My OH didnt like the new bike so sold it, with a view to buying a new one. Do we need to tell the insurance company now that the other one has turned up, or just leave this as they are because will be be paying for it anyway when our premium goes up next year?
