Property would need to be insured for tenants. As an interested party the lender would be notified.
No proper insurance means invalidated insurance so in the event of a claim there would be expensive lessons.
Aside from that it would be in breach of mortgage terms and conditions which could mean the mortgage called in.
Not really worth the risk in my humble opinion.
