    hello, confused...alias Sizz-sans-hangover?

got up cos nobody would make me a coffee.....

also wanted to get washing done before off-peak leccy goes off....am I a titewad or not?

    I have a [Xmas] problem.....!

I bought myself a [small] pot of brandy cream to have with Xmas pud....

Later, I bought myself some excellent locally-made mince pies....realised XOH would be popping over [to see S&H.....don't you just lurve these abbreviations?].....so quickly bought another pot of brandy cream.....for mince pies......as you do?

XOH arrived with large box of home-made mince pies, PLUS a hug pot of brandy cream to go with them.....!

So...now I have 3 pots of brandy cream.....several hundred mince pies [so it seems].....and an Xmas pud, to consume.....and I am the only one here who will eat them!

I am going to be oh-so sick of [brandy] cream come New Year!

In fact, it may simply be, I'll be oh-so sick, full-stop! [cannot use the word 'period' as our colonial cousins over the water do......over here it means something entirely different!]

will I be safe to drive after consuming 3 pots of brandy cream?

Maybe I'll just go down with Bell's Palsy?

    question!

Why is it, that Tesco's brandy cream has a use-by date of just after Boxing day......and Morrison's brandy cream has a use-by date of 2nd week in January?

[do Morrison's put more brandy in their cream? Is Tesco's stuff more likely to 'go off?']

Merry Christmas everybody......uuuugggghhhhhhh, I feel ill.....
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

Depends on the 'brandy' content and the size of the jars?

Eat 3 jars and you won't be able to drive very far. You'll be stopping every 100 yards to be sick. ;)

Morning - I will take that hearty breakfast thank you very much as it will be all I am eating for the next 2 months; this move will have additional costs I hadn't thought of as its a new build so there aren't any carpets, BT line, moving van/men (as I have no male friends and my brother can't help as he is away on courses for the whole of Feb) etc. Will be tackling the spreadsheet today to see where I can save.

What do you think to cancelling SKY et all now (BB and Skytalk) as that will save me £50 in Feb and then re-joining when I move as a new customer?? Can I cope with being offline for that long?????!!!!!

    ARGH! I need more coffee.

Ok - I gave in and had my first turkey sandwich of the season!

Alistair - can any of the brandy cream be frozen?

Sizzler - congratulations on the hangover front!

Sky - Congratulations on your move - is it very far from your current home?

Hello 5YP - thanks! Its not far only about 7 miles but the real problem is going to be getting 3 kids into the same local oversubscribed school as I can't traipse across town twice a day for the school run; I simply couldn't afford the petrol!

And to top everything off there is a transaction I need to dispute on my card (!) Its a new flippin card so who can have it? It has to be a mistake and its only for £10.46 (with Aston Trading Ltd who I think are UK-Bargains, that I haven't bought anything from, ever). As its a Sunday, the VISA query team are unavailable.

Oh, no, that happened to me with a new card. I only used it to have clampers remove the clamp, I thought they looked dodgy and they used it at several mobile phone shops. . Lloyds phoned me on a Sunday morning (this was the start of those dreaded phone calls pre-BR!) to ask if I had used the card at a mobile phone shop, so they immediately credited my account with the amount and sent me a new card.
