I notice this is also being sold in our John Lewis and is 7.50 a tube, has anyone tried it and found it OK?

Hi Citygirl, I had a sample sachet of this and was not impressed at all. It did not lather up (maybe it's not meant to - as it's supposed to be natural). I have tried the L'occitane verbena one recently which I'm really impressed with though. Leaves my hair very clean and shiny. xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I think there are similar products a lot cheaper.
I have recently changed from mainstream products to natural products of which i paid £10 for 300ml of both shampoo and conditioner and delivery. I will never look back because it has solved my itchy scalp problem.0 -

Hi, what products are they that you use?0 -
i've used it several times and cant make up my mine, it does lather a bit, but found it made my hair quite tangly, i used the conditioner for dry/damaged hair and it just wasnt conditioning enough, needed to use a serum afterwards. But i found it didnt make my hair itch and i didnt need to wash my hair for a few days, normally wash everyday. I dont think i will buy it again as its nothing special and i really like my loreal elvive. It also had a very light scent, didnt think my hair smelt of anything after washing.0

I bought some from fragrance direct it was by Sexy hair, but they don't have it anymore, think it was end of line stock.
This is a good thread for shops and info.
Pure.co.uk and Faith in Nature have affordable hair stuff. Some at £3.99 for 250ml.0 -
Hi, I received a sample of the Liz Earle shampoo and conditioner too. As it was a just a sample, I've only used them once, so hard to form a proper judegement, but..
I really liked the shampoo, my hair felt very clean and soft afterwards, and I didn't notice a lack of lather (I don't think it really needs to lather up). It also smelt divine while I was washing, but I was disappointed that the smell didn't stay in my hair at all once it was dry.
I didn't think much to the conditioner though (I think the sample I had was the one for normal hair). It just didn't seem to do much at all, and didn't feel like it was conditioning enough (and I have greasy, not dry hair).
I certainly haven't been tempted to buy at those prices, just didn't think it was good enough to be worth it.0 -
I have to say I really like it! I've used more natural shampoos for a while now and was interested to see how this one would compare. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and my hair is feeling better for it, less dry and much softer - I've got the dry conditioner as I dye my hair.
As a good contrast I also gave some to my sister to try (shampoo and normal conditioner). She absolutely adores her hair products and spends more on her hair than anything else so I thought she would be a good test for it. I am amazed that she also really likes it! She says her hair has become softer and more manageable and she will definitely buy it in the future as it is so much cheaper than what she normally gets - so I guess you really need to try it to make a decision for yourself. After all, if we liked the same thing there would only be one shampoo!0 -
I only used the sample, and didn't like it enough to buy it to try further.
The smell was lovely, but the conditioner was not conditioning enough.
My hair was a frizzy dry mess afterwards. It was so bad, that I rewashed it with my usual stuff before I went to the hairdressers, as I was embarrassed by the state of it.0 -
My DD bought the shampoo & conditioner on offer from the website £15 for both I think.
She loves it. She let me try it, it smells nice (very fresh & citrussy) but I do like a good lather & it doesn't do that.0
