btw - the £2 Harpers Bazaar from early in the week scanned fine at the Asda self-scan till, even though I only had spent about £7.
There's also a measly 24p coupon in Asda's free October magazine. I found them sitting near the entrance.0 -

I tried one of the £4 book tokens about an hour ago and the cashier said it wouldn't scan. I don't know if it was todays or yesterdays. I will try again tomorrow but am not sure now whether to stock up on these tonight or not

Welshy, were they okay just taking it for groceries?
I finally got the courage up to use a Quick Read voucher today and had it turned down, never mind!0 -
Hiya Tibbie's mum, yes they were fine taking this voucher, I did a large family shop and in total saved £40 using vouchers today. The cashier happily scanned everything I gave her. As for quick reads, my local store does not accept them but 2 other ones nearby do.

Tried the book token in Sainsburys and it worked perfectly. Cashier thought it was for the Sainsbury's mag which I had also bought. So if they query it, you know what to say0 -
