btw - the £2 Harpers Bazaar from early in the week scanned fine at the Asda self-scan till, even though I only had spent about £7.

There's also a measly 24p coupon in Asda's free October magazine. I found them sitting near the entrance.

I tried one of the £4 book tokens about an hour ago and the cashier said it wouldn't scan. I don't know if it was todays or yesterdays. I will try again tomorrow but am not sure now whether to stock up on these tonight or not

sorry, should have said this was in Tesco

Welshy, were they okay just taking it for groceries?

I finally got the courage up to use a Quick Read voucher today and had it turned down, never mind!
  • Hiya Tibbie's mum, yes they were fine taking this voucher, I did a large family shop and in total saved £40 using vouchers today. The cashier happily scanned everything I gave her. As for quick reads, my local store does not accept them but 2 other ones nearby do.

Tried the book token in Sainsburys and it worked perfectly. Cashier thought it was for the Sainsbury's mag which I had also bought. So if they query it, you know what to say ;)

I got a copy of the Sun today (and 2 Mails). I'm wondering if the Merlin footie album voucher will scan at Tesco/Asda, looks as though it may do.

Anyone who's got the Sun don't forget to cut this out as well as the Love-it ones, let's try them all!

just comfirming the £4 voucher in mail scans fine in tesco in east anglia so i guess it can be used anywhere unless you get a busy body on the till.

welshy any luck with the vouchers i sent you?

  • Hiya Frisky - I haven't tried the ones you sent me yet as I had lots of clubcard vouchers which were due to expire tomorrow plus some high value Times vouchers so I will use them on the next shop. I have now passed the 14,500 points clubcard goal so I am very pleased.
