Aberlour, Glenlivet whiskey THIRD OFF

Now if the change in the weather isn't enough of a reason to need a drop of the hard stuff to line the throat against the flu germs, nip down to the co op, where a bottle of these very decent whiskeys is slashed to 2/3 price -i.e. Aberlour £13.99 instead of £22. The website pdf mentions only the Glenlivet at £16.32.

im guessing the co-op website as that is the shop mentioned in the op's post.
just on a side note, if you like jack daniels and jim beam then sainsburys are doing their own version which tastes pretty much the same for £9.99, same alcohol proof.
saves me £7 or £8 per bottle.

Aberlour & Glenlivet are Whiskys not Whiskeys
. Irish are we? (I am btw) "Success is not to be measured by the position someone has reached in life, but the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed." Booker T. Washington

Hi, I'm afraid I'm a generation removed from the old country, and though I can be as pedantic as any Islay drinker (sorry cousin, I just like the Scots' flavour), I'll sit down corrected but unabashed... I probably got the price out by a few pennies too, but then I was enjoying the flavour of the stuff at the time
-The glenlivet is £16.32. Again, Sainsbury's do their own a few quid cheaper. One day I think we'll all be eating & drinking out of the big stores' cartons, with reduced choice & raised prices.
The co-op website is http://www.co-op.co.uk/ or http://www.co-op.co.uk/foodretail/index.php?pageid_grp=99
-it's a bit wild compared to the bigger stores, & if you click on 'check out our autumn offers' link it sends you a pdf0 -
Thanks Quadroclops.
Great spot. Will be going to my local co-op and investing in a bottle. For medicinal reasons of course.0 -
