    Thank you!

I do- and have always- left things to the last minute. I've tried so many times to change but never achieved that. Bankruptcy was my only option as there was no where else to go.

    So, upwards from here eh?

I have just had a a letter from Cabot stating they had bought the debt from one of my creditors knowing that I was BR. Have been BR for over 10 months now! They have asked for my BR details to confirm this, needless to say they have now received an email telling them to !!!! off or I will inform the OR of what they are doing. Just try and ignore the letters there is nothing they can do to you now you are BR.

After 10 months? ?! I hope I'll get more hardened to it. Feeling a bit fragile at the mo.

Well, if you will choose a username like "Crumbling", fragile might go with the territory. :)

you will....when the first letters came through threatening allsorts i felt dreadful, even scared to open them. it wouldn't bother me now...they'd just be wasting their resources contacting me post br.

remember the OR has 8 weeks from br to contact creditors, so after 8 weeks these letters *should* calm down - if not, they have been told...

I guess many of us are quite fragile when we first register on this site, particularly the bankruptcy board. Crumbling is a name, i personaly, can really empathasise with. When i registered, i had'nt given a thought to my name. It was just a question of how i felt at that time. I had two choices came into my mind. I can't remember exactly what the other one was now, even though its not so long ago, but i know i felt i really should'nt use it.

Although i reached a period when i wanted to change my name, in this short space of time i've been here, when things seemed slightly brighter, and i wanted a more positive name. On reflection, i'm quite at ease with my name, now. Because its my very being, on here. Its who i am, here. I don't want to change it anymore. I don't see it in a negative way anymore. Its past of the whole process i have, i am, and are continuing to go through.

I love your name, crumbling, because it gives me an insight into you, as a person. Chin up

    Hugs

awww thanks confused and nohope. yup, the user name sums up exactly how i was feeling at the time i joined. maybe i should change it to 'a bit flakey' now as i daresay that sums me up better :p

i think part of the overall '' is that i had made all of my payments until the bitter end so i've not had much experience on the nasty letter front.

the internal communication is rather ironic tho:rotfl:

I went bankrupt September 2009 and early discharge February 2010. A couple of weeks ago I got a statement from bank of Scotland informing me I'd missed last months payment and if I was having problems paying it to get in touch with them for help. The last time I made a payment to to them was a year ago and you would think they would know by now I'm bankrupt and discharged. Anyway it went in the bin.
