I've bought a lovely new printer to use with my laptop and now think I should buy some spare ink cartridges so I've got them on standby.
Any suggestions as to where I should be looking for the best prices, and, could I use a cheaper, compatible cartridges?
Any help/advise is welcome.

i have also just bought this printer and would like to know where to buy the inks
thanks0 -
I've been looking at the genuine Epson cartridges but they seem very expensive for this printer. The Fox set are £24.99 and Apple are £37.99, both on Amazon. I would like to get compatible cartridges if I can. There's no place like home

I'm sorry to disappoint but there are none available. Epson have changed the design for this model and nobody has yet been able to replicate it.

So you've got a choice. Either buy the ridiculously expensive Epson cartridges and hope somebody somewhere comes out with a decent compatible version or buy a new printer for which cheap compatibles are freely available.0 -
Oh well, I guess I will have to 'lightly use' my Epson and go back to my Lexmark until later. Unless I run out of ink in Epson then I will just have to bite the bullet and pay the price.
Thanks for your help on this. There's no place like home

Your link doesn't mention SX425W, bilbo. Mind you nor does tony's.
I'm beginning to think tonynw has a personal interest in 7dayinks. The majority of his posts have bumped them. Personally I wouldn't use them because there is no address as far as I can see on the website and only a mobile phone number. They say they're based in the North West yet the website is registered to a Choon Yen Kong in Loughborough.0
