Sick of looking and feeling like a tramp going into work, can't really afford nice decent clothes... any style tips and where do most people recommend for clothes shopping on the cheap?!

What's your budget? I really like supermarket clothes and they're pretty cheap. Other than that I'd say get a few basics like fitted shirts and skirts and change the look with accessories. I wouldn't get clothes from Primark as I think it's a false economy but their accessories are a bargain!
Or how about charity shops? I've bought some nice stuff for just a few pounds before.0 -
White/coloured cotton blouses from Primark are brilliant, they last forever and dont go grey in time with washing.
Trousers are crap, they are just that summer cheap stuff.
I bought some really nice ones from Sainsburys, good stuff, wash, take them out of the washing machine and hang them up.
i dont remember ever irong them, great wash and wear ones.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
How much are the basic trousers in Sainsbury's? I have bought from Primark but see even the t-shirts, one wash and they are all twisted and shrink about 3 sizes and in my case, that is bad news lol! Although I do love Primark for bits and bobs. I really only have a budget of £20 a month to get anything so have to save like mad for months.0

I buy all my work clothes in Sainsburys, Tesco or Matalan....cheap but wash well, and look tidy!RIP Iain

Charity shops and ebay for me - better quality than supermarkets.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I've got some of the M&S £9.50 trousers (except I got them for £2!!) and they have lasted at least 6 months. Admittedly I only do 10 hours a week, but I do a fair bit of kneeling down to stock up and the knees have not suffered at all. Would recommend them. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

i tend to stick to greys and blacks and can vouch for the white blouses from primark. i jazz them up with scarfs, beads etc. best investment was a really nice black fitter jacket that i could wear with anything and looked great even with thhe basic tshirts frm tesco/asda.skintbint x

I get trousers from asda, or primark, but avoid the nasty nylon ones.
I usually go with those jumpers with the collar from Dorothy Perkins or newlook, they are comfy, but look like you a re wearing a shirt under, so don't have to wash jumper and shirt. lolIt only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'

For work, I wear trousers from Asda George (£5/6 a pair) and blouses from all of the supermarkets & Primark - plain and simple. My only extravagance was a new coat from Primark for starting my new job a few weeks ago.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
